Matthew is currently in charge of working with hundreds of insurance carriers to collect, process and analyze over $14.5 billion in subrogation payments for 35,000 wildfire insurance claims for remediation in the Fire Victim Trust.  Matt also assists in designing and implementing web-based claims resolution portals for complex settlement programs including the NFL Concussion Settlement, Xarelto, Abilify, Olmesartan Product Litigation Settlement, ACTOS Resolution Program, Pradaxa, and NuvaRing.  To ensure compliance with the terms of each settlement agreement, Matthew is intricately involved in the development, testing, and deployment of all programs.  To facilitate the implementation of each portal, Matthew has created claim submission and review processes uniquely tailored to each settlement program.  He is also responsible for the development of law firm communication policies and procedures and the oversight of the firm’s attorney representation teams. Lastly, he provides reporting analysis to assess the status and progress of various settlement programs.

Matthew joined BrownGreer in 2010 after graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law.  During his time there, he served as a law clerk for Cannella & O’Neal, where he drafted pleadings, prepared memoranda, interviewed and performed client intake relating to medical malpractice, personal injury, and premises liability claims.  Matthew also had the opportunity to serve as a Division Intern with Q2 Sports and Entertainment.  While at Q2, he reviewed NFL contracts to identify earning trends for the foundation of client contract negotiations, conducted research for client marketing opportunities, and drafted prospective communications for potential clients.
