Volunteer Service Hours

We are committed to our community and encourage our employees to give back by volunteering. We provide volunteer hours to allow employees the opportunity to serve others throughout the year. BrownGreer also has an active Pro Bono Program and encourages our lawyers to provide pro bono legal services in the community.

BrownGreer is a supporter of Higher Achievement, an organization whose mission is to leverage the power of communities to provide a rigorous year-round learning environment, caring role models, and a culture of high expectations, resulting in college-bound scholars with the character, confidence, and skills to succeed. BrownGreer employees serve as mentors in the Higher Achievement program. Link
Movember logo


In 2015, employees of BrownGreer banded together to raise money in support of Movember by growing mustaches, hosting bake sales and even selling homemade gumbo in our New Orleans location. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of mustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the US and around the world. With their mustaches, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Link

BrownGreer supported the James River Writers in 2015, a non-profit organization helping to build community by connecting and inspiring writers and readers in central Virginia. Serving as central Virginia’s literary hub, James River Writers welcomes aspiring and professional writers, passionate readers, and anyone who loves the written word through a variety of programs, services and events, often presented in partnership with other cultural organizations. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

BrownGreer is a proud supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization dedicated to searching for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world leader in cystic fibrosis research and is working diligently to develop new drugs to fight the disease, improve the quality of life for those with cystic fibrosis and ultimately find a cure. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

In 2015, BrownGreer supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by participating in the JDRF One Walk. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is a major non-profit organization dedicated to funding type 1 diabetes research. JDRF exists for the millions of children, adults, and families challenged by (type 1) diabetes every single day. Link

Anna Julia Cooper Episcopal School

In 2015, BrownGreer supported the Anna Julia Cooper Episcopal School, an independent, faith-based middle school, providing full tuition scholarships to students of limited economic resources primarily from Richmond’s East End. The school has an entire program focused on the development of children coming from low-socioeconomic areas. This is accomplished by empowering the students, changing their outlook on success, and serving their communities. Link

BrownGreer is a proud supporter of Henrico County Public Schools, a Virginia school division that operates as a functional branch of the Henrico County, Virginia, county government, and administers public schools in the county. HCPS wants to give all students and teachers the tools they need to succeed so the students and are empowered to make positive contributions to the community and local economy. Link

In 2015, BrownGreer supported Junior Achievement by participating in JA Finance Park, which is a program designed for middle and high school students to help them become fiscally responsible. Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization that works with local businesses and organizations to deliver experiential programs on the topics of financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship to students.
