Jessica helps lead the Medical Lien Team. She develops and executes processes and procedures for the efficient and effective negotiation and resolution of all medical liens including Medicare and Medicaid third party claims resolution.
Jessica is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law. She joined BrownGreer after almost eight years of practice in the workers’ compensation section at McCandlish Holton PC. Jessica has significant experience defending workers’ compensation claims before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission, the Virginia Court of Appeals, and the Virginia Supreme Court. She routinely advised clients regarding Medicare Set Asides, conditional payment liens, and reporting obligations under the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and the Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007. Jessica also conducted educational programs for insurance adjusters and employers.
While at Wake Forest, Jessica was recognized for her trial advocacy skills by her selection to the American Association for Justice Trial Team and the Student Trial Bar. Jessica also served as a teaching assistant in the Legal Research and Writing Program and studied abroad in Venice, Italy. Prior to law school, Jessica worked in the human services field at a non-profit organization in Richmond. She currently serves on the board of Service Kids in Progress.
