Janet has extensive experience in litigation management associated with the defense of mass torts. Her 26-year practice has focused primarily on the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in product liability litigation nationwide. She has broad experience in using technology to enhance litigation management and contain legal defense costs by devising extranets and case management systems for receiving, tracking, sharing and monitoring case development, company documents, pleadings and discovery. Janet spent seven years at the Dalkon Shield Trust managing litigation and arbitration filed against the Trust in 40 states and developing medical expert witnesses worldwide in nine different specialties.

Janet returned to McGuireWoods LLP in 1998, rejoining its Products Liability and Litigation Management Department. She served as national and regional counsel to a variety of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. She also coordinated discovery efforts in cases involving consumer products, toxic torts, environmental issues and foreclosures across multiple states.

Janet joined BrownGreer in June 2012.
