Garrett joined BrownGreer in 2008 shortly after earning his B.A from The University of Virginia. Garrett started as a Claims Reviewer for the Vioxx Settlement; however, he quickly was promoted to Analyst and Sr. Analyst during the BP Oil Spill Settlement, and later officially joined the HR Department to serve as a Sr. HR Analyst. Garrett previously administered and assisted with the oversight of complex human resources programs, performance management, employee relations, policy administration, and strategic workforce planning. In addition, he oversaw and implemented Compliance and Conflict of Interest policies and procedures.
He works with a team of attorneys, project managers, and claims reviewers in the evaluation of claims for settlements. He oversees the design, implementation, testing, and management of the systems used to serve these settlements. Among his responsibilities are the development of review portals, notices, the creation of reports to assess progress and status, the generation and issuance of payments to eligible class members, and the reconciliation of funds issued.
In Garrett’s free time, he is actively engaged within Richmond politics and serving the Richmond community. His non-profit community work includes the Northside Coalition for Children, Inc., AJC Connect Board, MindWorks Collaborative, and the Richmond Virginia Branch NAACP.
BrownGreer's team of attorneys, analysts, programmers, and reviewers leads the industry in claims administration, settlement administration, and data management solutions. A settlement administrator distinguished by its talent, innovation, and cutting edge technologies, BrownGreer designs and implements complex mass claims processes that can involve millions of claimants and billions of dollars in settlement funds.
